![]() ![]() I’ll leave the original post here for now, but just remember it’s not being updated anymore. I maintain the Beast Mastery Guide at Wowhead and got sick of keeping both up to date with every little change! ![]() This is much more generous than before, you have the old socket gear, trinkets, gems and enchants to replicate new patches of gear if you’re lacking in ability. As of Patch 7.2.5, this post is no longer being updated. I promise you there would probably be even less people completing the challenges if this was the original version. ![]() After all, the Mage Tower was originally designed with these Legendaries in mind.ġ prot paladin in the world completed the mage tower in the original iteration in 7.2. TLDR: No more tuning for the Mage Tower, but enable Legion Legendaries to help smooth out the fight for some players. And it might be that little nudge that many players need to get past their challenge. You can only equip two of them and it gives players something to farm and work toward. ![]() Make them only useable in the Mage Tower and no where else. So what would be pretty much in line with how players, and how Blizzard is letting players, approach the Mage Tower? Simple: re-enable Legion Legendaries. You see, in current Mage Tower, the name of the game is to get as many sockets as possible, get OP trinkets, old expansion consumables and enchants, etc (for some players these aren’t needed but for many more they are). So I was thinking, while sipping on some cooling peppermint tea, what if the answer is right in front of us, a fix for all the issues people are having. And then the same group come in and argue against those points, sometimes with relatively good arguments, sometimes being as disingenuous as the day is long. As I slowly bang my head against the feral challenge (boomkin and resto challenge completed), I keep finding my self back on the forums, reading from many people how unfun it is, how over tuned it is, how it was a bait and switch from the PTR, lack of borrowed power when it was active in Legion, complaint after complaint, all having varying degrees of truth in those complaints. ![]()
